New £9m Ben Wyvis primary opens to pupils in Ross-shire

The new £9m Ben Wyvis Primary School in Conon Bridge in Ross-shire has opened to pupils.

The 10-classroom building merges and replaces Conon Bridge and Maryburgh primary schools.

The name Ben Wyvis, a mountain in the area, was the most popular suggested for the new school by pupils, staff, parents and local residents.

The opening of the primary has been marked by a procession of staff, pupils and parents.

Barr Construction was the main contractor on the school building project.
