Driver seriously injured in Inverness crash

A driver has been seriously injured in a late-night crash in Inverness.

Northern Constabulary say two cars, a silver Fiat Punto and a black Skoda Fabia, were involved. They collided at the junction of Bridge Street, Castle Road, Bank Street and Ness Bridge at about 22:50 on Wednesday.

The driver of the Fiat was seriously injured and has been taken to Raigmore Hospital.

No one else was injured. The junction was closed to allow for investigations.
