Man named after death at Nairn sawmill

Sawmill at Nairn The accident happened at a sawmill in Nairn

A man who died in an industrial incident at a sawmill in the Highlands has been named by police as 40-year-old Peter Ord, from Nairn.

Firefighters were called to John Gordon and Sons on Balblair Road in Nairn at about 08:30.

Two appliances attended the incident, including a specialist emergency tender from Inverness.

Northern Constabulary said inquiries were at an early stage and further details will be given when available.
