Culloden man admits downloading indecent images

A 50-year-old man who downloaded indecent images of children as young as six will be sentenced next month.

Andrew Bremner, from Culloden, admitted to obtaining the images and keeping them on his computer between April and October 2010.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard how police received information in December 2010 that Bremner had downloaded indecent pictures of children.

Two of the images were of the highest level of depravity.

Seven of the pictures were of the second most serious level.

Fiscal depute Heather Swan told Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood that Bremner had admitted to police he was responsible for the images, but said he had never paid for or exchanged them.

Sheriff Fleetwood deferred sentence until 8 April for a background report and a risk assessment and placed Bremner on the sex offenders register.
