Man arrested over Highland hill fire

Police investigating a hill fire in the Highlands earlier in the month have arrested a man.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said the 39-year-old man had been detained in connection with a blaze in the Glen Tarbet area on 1 April.

A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Fort William Sheriff Court on Monday.

Dry weather has seen several hill fire outbreaks over the past month.
