A special 10K running course set up to take competitors through a Highland wind farm is to be used for the first time later this year.

The course uses service tracks around the 21-turbine Baillie Wind Farm, near Thurso, in Caithness.

September's event will take runners close to some of the farm's 110m (360ft) turbines.

Statkraft, which owns the site, and North Highland Harriers running club have organised the runs.
