A lifeboat crew in the Highlands is marking its 20th anniversary.

RNLI Kessock launches from a station at North Kessock, across the Beauly Firth from Inverness on the Black Isle.

The lifeboat station started life as a short trial operation on 5 June 1993, before later becoming a permanent fixture.

In 20 years the volunteer crews have saved the lives of 33 people, launched 434 times and rescued 224 people who have found themselves in difficulty.
