Owner of tent 'abandoned' in Wester Ross traced

Police have traced the owner of a tent that had been apparently abandoned in Britain's oldest national nature reserve.

The grey and orange tent was found north west of Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair in the Beinn Eighe reserve last week.

Police Scotland had wanted to trace its owner to make sure they were not in any difficulty.

Following an appeal, the person who pitched the tent contacted police.
