Man dies on North Uist after being trapped under HGV

A man has died after becoming trapped underneath an overturned lorry on North Uist.
Emergency services were called to a one-vehicle accident involving an HGV on the B894 at Locheport at about 13:00 on Saturday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said three crews were called to a report of a vehicle on its side with a man trapped underneath.
Police said the male occupant of the HGV was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Health and Safety Executive is involved in the investigation.
In a separate accident a 51-year-old man has died after crashing his motorbike in the Highlands.
The accident happened on the A87 Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh road near Bun Loyne at about 17:00 on Saturday.
Police said the man was travelling north on a blue Suzuki motorbike.
Separately, a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his blue Renault crashed on Millburn Road, Inverness, at about 00:40 on Sunday.
Millburn Road was closed for about six hours.
Police have asked anyone with information about the accidents to contact them.
