Highland Council has apologised for an error on a map produced as part of a major planning document.

On the map, carried in 300 copies of a booklet about the Inner Moray Firth Development Plan, Beauly and Muir of Ord are shown in the wrong locations.

The villages are shown in the correct places on an online version of the planning document.

The council said it would not be recalling the hard copies which cost more than £5,000 to produce.

The Inner Moray Firth Development Plan sets out priorities in terms of housing and other development for the next 20 years.
