Phone fault affects 999 service in Dores and Gorthleck

A phone fault means emergency 999 calls cannot be made in the Dores and Gorthleck areas near Inverness, police have warned.

Telecoms engineers from BT are working to fix the problem that has affected landlines but not mobile phones.

Until the service is available again, police officers and a vehicle have been located at the Dores Inn.

Police Scotland said there will be patrols in the area and that the force can still be contacted by dialling 101.
