Bus goes off road near Stornoway in icy conditions

Eleven people were taken to hospital after a bus crashed on an icy road in the Western Isles.

The bus, on its way to the village of Ness, went off the road near Stornoway at about 22:00 on Thursday. On board were 10 passengers and a driver.

It had been reported that only four people had been hurt.

However, all those on the bus were taken to Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway as a precaution. One was kept in hospital for observation.

It is believed she was a 17-year-old girl.
