An RNLI lifeboat was launched on Loch Ness to assist a yacht after the craft lost power.

Five people, three adults and two children, were aboard the vessel. The loch's lifeboat crew went to their aid.

Weather conditions in the area had been described as "good" with winds of around 15mph (24kph).

The RNLI said the yacht was drifting in choppy waters at the northern end of the Loch near the village of Dores. It was towed to Dochgarroch.
