Man injured after attack in Inverness

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Inverness.

The attack happened on Huntly Street at about 03:30.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have information.

Officers are also appealed for witnesses after a 34-year-old man was assaulted at 12:45 on Monday while he was walking on the B9153 Carrbridge to Kinveachy Road.

Following the incident, a number of passing drivers stopped to help the man who was about 6ft tall, wearing dark waterproofs and carrying a large rucksack.

Police have appealed for them to come forward.
