A woman who had a heart attack at work has thanked the firefighters who helped to save her life.

Melanie Smith collapsed at Inverness College UHI.

One of her colleagues ran to a nearby fire station to raise the alarm while another workmate, Peter Dennis, administered first aid.

Firefighters Cher Pumphrey, David Main, David Dugdale and Michael MacMillan provided further lifesaving treatment until an ambulance arrived.

Ms Smith has returned to work at the college following her heart attack in November last year.
