Nine ill with bug at Inverness' Raigmore Hospital

Nine patients and a number of staff have been affected by a diarrhoea and vomiting bug that has closed a ward at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

Tests have confirmed that two of the patients' symptoms have been caused by norovirus.

Medial ward 6C has been closed to new admissions and visitors since last week.

NHS Highland said the affected staff had been sent home to recover from the illness.
