Man 'serious' after Inverness dog attack

A man is believed to have been seriously injured after being attacked by his own dog.

Police said after the incident in Inverness that the dog was under control and there was no threat to the public.

The attack took place in the city's Sir Walter Scott Drive, which is close to Raigmore Hospital to the south east of Inverness city centre.

No details have been released about the man's injuries or the breed of his dog.
