Drugs arrest at Stornoway ferry terminal

A 24-year-old man has been arrested accused of possessing drugs and an offensive weapon at a Western Isles ferry terminal.

The man was arrested at Stornoway on Lewis at about 21:15 on Tuesday.

Police Scotland said officers had been using stop-and-search as part of their ongoing efforts to tackle the supply of illegal drugs on the islands.

The man has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
