Plans for a glamping campsite with eight yurts near Rosemarkie have been recommended for approval by Highland Council officials.

Glamping is described as glamorous camping and yurts are based on a type of traditional nomadic Mongolian home.

The applicant, Gordon Adam, has proposed turning an area of woodland near Hillockhead into the campsite.

Fortrose and Rosemarkie Community Council has objected to the proposal.

Council planning officials have recommended that next week's meeting of the north planning applications committee approve the plan.
