Walker found after night on Cliseam on Harris

A walker has been rescued after spending a night on the highest of the hills on the Isle of Harris.

The 62-year-old man had become separated from a group walking on Cliseam on Tuesday.

Hebrides Mountain Rescue Team, coastguard personnel from Stornoway, South Lochs and Tarbert searched for the man.

He was found at about 08:30 on Wednesday and was airlifted to Western Isles Hospital on Lewis.

He was treated for the effects of the cold.
