A dog was rescued by a lifeboat after being injured in a 30ft fall onto a rocky beach at Loch Ness.

English bull terrier Stan sustained a broken leg in the fall on Wednesday morning.

Owner Ricky Simpson went to Stan's aid while his partner called the coastguard.

The Drumnadrochit-based Loch Ness RNLI crew took the pair to Foyers pier by lifeboat. Stan then received treatment from a vet in Inverness.
