Man charged over Nairn homeless man burning incident

Police investigating an incident in which a homeless man suffered burns have charged a 25-year-old man.

A 34-year-old man, named locally as James Shaw, was found severely burned in the Tower Court area of Nairn on Tuesday.

He was taken to hospital then transferred to a specialist burns unit.

Police Scotland said a man had been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with a serious assault and recent fire-raising incidents.
