Contractors to work on fire-hit Inverness hostel

The owners of a backpackers' hostel destroyed by fire almost two years ago have appointed contractors to make the building safe.

Highland Council served the owners Eastgate Hostel in Inverness city centre with a a dangerous building enforcement notice earlier this month.

More than 50 people were evacuated from the hostel after the blaze broke out on 3 April 2013.

Work at the site is due to start on Monday.
