Flight to Inverness diverted 'because of debris' on runway

A flight from Belfast to Inverness has been diverted to Aberdeen.

It was understood there was debris on the runway, which has since been cleared.

A flight from Dublin to Inverness was also delayed and the airline Flybe said this was because of a "technical issue" with the runway.

The flight from Belfast City Airport was due to land at Inverness at midday. The passengers will be taken by bus from Aberdeen to Inverness.

The bus was expected to arrive in Inverness at 18:00.
