Extra ferry sailings will be provided between Stornoway and Ullapool over the summer to help the tourism industry, the Scottish government has said.

Transport Minister Derek Mackay said an additional return crossing has been added to Friday and Saturday timetables for 10 weekends from 26 June-29 August.

Sailings will depart from Stornoway at 10:30 and Ullapool at 14:30 on both days.
