In pictures: Inverness Half Marathon

Hundreds of competitors took part in the Inverness Half Marathon on Sunday.

Teweldeberhan Mengisteab, of Shettleston Harriers, was the first to cross the finish line in a time of 01:06:48. The fastest woman was Shona McIntosh, of Hunters Bog Trotters, in 01:16:45.

Meanwhile, a new world record for the fastest mascot in a half marathon may have been set by Highland Hospice chief executive Kenny Steele, who was dressed as a bumblebee, and Frank Gilroy, who ran as a heart for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. The pair crossed the finish line at the same time and are awaiting verification of their time of 01:37:03.
