Wildfire near Dores shuts B862

A wildfire has closed a road near Dores.

Police Scotland said the B862 was shut where it crossed Ashie Moor, which lies between Loch Ness and Loch Duntelchaig.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze had taken hold in about 500 sq m of grassland.

The fire service was alerted to the incident at about 15:00 and three appliances have been sent to the scene. The blaze follows two incidents on Wednesday.
