Suspension on all visits to Raigmore Hospital lifted

A temporary suspension on all visits to the biggest hospital in the Highlands because of an outbreak of norovirus has been lifted.

However, wards 2C, 3A, 5C and 7C at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness remain closed to new admissions.

NHS Highland introduced the temporary halt on visits on Friday in an effort to help tackle the outbreak of the sickness and diarrhoea bug.

About 30 patients have been affected by the illness.
