Culloden street cordoned off after baby's body found

Police said they were treating a baby's death in Inverness at the weekend as "unexplained".

MacLean Court in Culloden was cordoned off by police until Tuesday following what officers said was a sudden death at 12:55 on Saturday.

Police have now revealed that the body of a three-month-old boy was found.

A police spokesperson said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

A report regarding the child's death will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
