A man's body recovered from the shoreline on the Isle of Rum last month has been confirmed as that of missing kayaker Jason Chung Wai-Ho.

Mr Chung Wai-Ho, from Glasgow, was last seen setting out in an inflatable red kayak from Arisaig in the west Highlands on 13 January.

An off-duty police officer warned him not to go out because of squally weather.

Searches were made for the 40-year-old at the time.

Mallaig and Eyemouth lifeboats, coastguard rescue teams, a helicopter and police search dogs were involved. The Eyemouth lifeboat was in the area at the time.
