Final preparations have begun for this year's Fort William Mountain Bike World Cup and Buff 4X Pro Tour.

About 200 riders, including last year's world champions Rachel Atherton and Loic Bruni, are expected to compete at the event on 4 and 5 June.

The competition forms the third stage of the UCI World Cup Downhill championships and was first held 14 years ago.

Riders compete on a course at Nevis Range near Fort William.

Last year's event drew more than 19,000 spectators.
