The first flight of a new air link between Inverness and Amsterdam has landed at the Scottish airport.

Passengers arriving on the Dutch airline KLM's aircraft were greeted by a giant water arch courtesy of the hoses of two airport fire engines.

The new service is the second major boost for Inverness Airport this month.

Two weeks ago, British Airways resumed flights between Inverness and Heathrow after an absence of almost 20 years of the service.
