Police have appealed for help in tracing a hillwalker who has not been seen since 3 May when he boarded a train at Fort William.

Goffredo Bondanelli, 56, from Germany, was travelling to Lochaillort ahead of a planned five-day walk between there and Glenfinnan.

Police said the experienced hillwalker was likely to have been camping close to nearby hills and Munros.

He may have later travelled by train or bus to Arrochar in Argyll.

Mr Bondanelli is described as being about 5ft 10in tall, of an athletic build with dark and grey hair. He was wearing dark outdoor clothing.
