A volunteer lifeboat crew went to the aid of a yacht that broke its mooring before running aground and began listing dangerously on a falling tide.

Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI was alerted to the incident at 03:55 on Monday.

The yacht, May Dream, had run aground in Plockton Bay and its two-person crew tried to secure it to the shore to prevent it from listing further.

The lifeboat crew helped to prevent the yacht from rolling over and it was later possible to refloat it.

May Dream's two yachtsmen were not hurt in the incident.
