Man thrown from motorbike at Loch Ness

A man has been injured after coming off his motorbike on the A82 at Loch Ness and landing near the water.

Loch Ness RNLI was launched at about 13:40 to assist in the effort to help the biker.

The accident happened near Glenmoriston. Police said the man went down an embankment but did not enter the loch.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance. Loch Ness lifeboat crew said the man had been "thrown clear".

The condition of the man is not known. Work has begun to recover his bike.
