Norovirus shuts ward at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness

An outbreak of norovirus has caused the temporary closure of a ward at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

Ward 7C has been closed to new admissions and visitors after several patients developed symptoms.

Three cases of norovirus, also known as the winter vomiting bug, have been confirmed.

NHS Highland has asked people not to visit hospitals if they have had sickness or diarrhoea within the previous 72 hours.
