Woman killed in two-vehicle crash near Maryburgh

A 63-year-old woman has died and two men have been injured in a two-car crash near Dingwall in the Highlands.

The collision happened on the A835, just west of the Maryburgh roundabout, at about 22:30 on Tuesday.

The woman was a passenger in an Audi V8, which police said was being driven by a 66-year-old man and was involved in a collision with a Toyota Auris.

The two men were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to multiple injuries.

The route was closed at the scene of the accident until 07:15 on Wednesday while investigations into the cause were carried out.
