Police say there are "increasing concerns" for a teenager reported missing from her home in the Kiltarlity area of Beauly.

Olivia Nimmo, 16, was last seen in Inverness city centre at about lunchtime on Saturday.

She had been expected to board a bus to Glasgow that day and return home on Sunday.

Police Scotland said she may have visited people she knows in Springburn, Glasgow, or Wishaw in Lanarkshire.

Olivia also has connections to Glenrothes in Fife.

A police spokesperson said: "There are increasing concerns for the teenager's welfare and officers are appealing to anyone who might have information about her whereabouts, or anyone who has seen a female matching her description, to contact Police Scotland.

"Olivia is described as being around 5ft 6in and of a slim build with a fair complexion and blue eyes. She has straight shoulder length brown/blonde hair.

"When last seen she was wearing jeans, a dark grey hooded top over a white halter-neck top, and black trainers with white soles."
