Car driven at speeds of up to 130mph on A9, say police

A driver has been clocked driving his car at speeds of up to 130mph on the A9 in the Highlands, police have said.

Police Scotland said the driver was stopped near Tore on the Black Isle, north of Inverness, and has been charged with dangerous driving.

The driver was stopped by police on Thursday night.

The alleged speeding was detected as part of a wider police operation against motoring offences.
