Dog rescued after falling down cliff at Butt of Lewis

A dog has been rescued after going over a cliff while on a walk at the Butt of Lewis in the Western Isles.

Police Scotland was alerted to the incident at 11:49.

Coastguard teams from Ness, Bragar and Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis were called out.

The dog had fallen on to a ledge and the coastguard teams were able to rescue it. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said the animal was uninjured.
