Police probe child grave attack in Aberdeenshire
Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses after a child's grave was vandalised at an Aberdeenshire cemetery.
Eight graveside ornaments were broken in the incident at Fetteresso cemetery near Stonehaven.
An ornamental flower holder was also broken and the flowers it contained were found scattered nearby.
Police said vandals struck at the cemetery some time between 7 July and 14 July.
A police spokesman said: "This was a cruel and mindless act of vandalism which has caused a lot of unnecessary distress to the family involved.
"The ornaments were obviously of significant sentimental value and we are appealing to the community as a whole to assist us in identifying who has committed this crime."
