Appeal after serious Aberdeen scooter crash

Police have appealed for witnesses after a 23-year-old scooter rider was seriously hurt in a crash in Aberdeen.

The collision with a parked van happened at about 0200 BST on Mastrick Drive near Croft Road on Sunday.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the road was closed for five hours to allow an accident investigation.

Grampian Police appealed for anyone who may have seen the crash involving the red and white scooter.
