'Hit-and-run' motorcyclist hurt in Aberdeenshire

Police have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run in Aberdeenshire.

The collision happened on the B976 South Deeside Road at Dinnet, west of the entrance to Deecastle Farm, on Monday evening.

The 49-year-old male rider of the red Honda motorbike was taken to hospital with injuries described as "not life-threatening at this stage".

Grampian Police said the other vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
