North east of Scotland gypsy travellers summit due
A summit meeting is to be held to discuss gypsy travellers in the north east of Scotland.
Grampian's joint police board has agreed to the meeting after hearing there is a perception travellers are treated differently by the authorities.
It is feared antagonism could increase if nothing is done.
A date has yet to be set for the conference, which will include police, as well as community groups and travellers themselves.
Councillor Kevin Stewart said he was pleased such a summit was to be held.
