Pedestrian badly hurt in Forres accident

A woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Forres.

The A96 was closed after the accident, which took place at the Moray town's Greshop industrial estate at about 0700 BST.

The pedestrian was flown to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.

Grampian Police appealed for witnesses and said diversions had been put in place. However, the road later reopened.
