Police have issued a fresh appeal for information about the death of a man whose body was discovered on a riverbank earlier this month.

The remains - believed to be those of 62-year-old Norman Choate - were discovered on the banks of the Deveron, close to Macduff Distillery.

Mr Choate, from the Banff area, had not been seen since June.

Officers from Grampian Police said they were trying to piece together his movements.

Det Insp Neil Cameron said: "We are keen to fill in the gaps between the last sighting of Norman and the discovery of his body."
