Motorcyclist badly injured in A93 crash

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a crash on the A93 Braemar to Glenshee road.

The emergency services were called to the scene after reports of the collision, one mile south of Fraser Bridge, at about 1135 BST on Monday.

A helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth flew the 46-year-old man, from the Huntly area, to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The man's condition was said to be serious but stable.

Grampian Police said the road was closed for several hours.
