Woman, 24, injured in Aberdeen assault

Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman suffered facial injuries in an assault in Aberdeen.

The 24-year-old needed hospital treatment after the incident in Marquis Road in the Woodside area at about 1800 BST on Thursday.

Grampian Police said it followed an altercation with a man.

Police are particularly keen to speak to a man and woman with a pushchair who were in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
