Views sought on Elgin flood prevention plans

Public views on plans designed to safeguard Elgin from the impact of flooding are being sought.

Scores of organisations and individuals have already been written to over the flood prevention scheme plans for the Moray town.

The area has been badly affected by flooding in recent years.

Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham said: "We are now on the final stretch. I urge those with an interest to play an active part."

Responses should be made in writing to Mailpoint 16, The Scottish government, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, EH6 6QQ by 8 November.
