Girl, 14, dies after Aberdeen car collision

A 14-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car in Aberdeen.

Grampian Police said Danielle Reid had died of her injuries at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the collision on the city's Provost Fraser Drive.

The teenager was struck near the Upper Mastrick Way junction at about 1940 GMT on Thursday. Accident investigators closed the road for four hours.

Grampian Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
